Overall length - 39 inches

This flamboyant hot forged steel hilt is based on one of the more elaborate and ornate hilts from the second quarter of the 18th Century. The solid oak grip has steel ferrules and is wrapped in blue-grey rayskin with spiral copper wire bindings. A leather liner covered either side with thick red cloth adorns the inside of the hilt. The liner helps to prevent chaffing and also gives protection to the users hand. The diamond section, double fullered blade has a full tang and is made from silicon manganese spring steel that is hardened and tempered to 52-54 Rockwell C.
